Article about the "Great Stink" in London

WARNING: THIS ARTICLE IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK

It discusses London's problems with sanitation and does use some juvenile words to describe things. Also, some of the comments are inappropriate for work/school.

It was, however, incredibly interesting.

The "Great Stink" was a few years after Bleak House, but the descriptions in the article reminded me of the description of London's streets.

Thanks for posting this, Lisa. I wasn't aware of this, er, unusual website. The story of the "Great Stink" is certainly relevant to our discussion of Dickens and Bleak House, and I also enjoyed the NY Times op-ed by Poop Culture author David Praeger.
