Kim considers his identity and his role in environment, much like Alice is defining and redefining herself through experiences in Alice and Wonderland. For example, Kim finds himself insignificant in the vast sea of humanity: "He considered his own identity, a thing he had never done before, till his head swam. He was one insignificant person in all this roaring whirl of India, going southward to he knew not what fate" (166). The description of the downward spiral made me think of Alice falling into the rabbit hole and having to deal with an unfamiliar world, just like Kim.
Another parallel seems to exist, at least as far as I've read between the Great Knight (the only nice adult to Alice) and the lama. In the scenes of Kim getting to the school, particularly, the lama is the only one who seems to genuinely care for Kim.
